Pooh Bear! was being particularly maniacal that day. Her full out SCREECHING with excitement about EVERYTHING really starts to wear on your nerves.
OMG STOP MOVING AND SPINNING IN CIRCLES FOR JUST. ONE. SECOND!!!!
I LOVE my 4-wheeler. Except it got stuck in this slush. Water, no problem... slush, not so much.
Ivy, Sage and Loki free run in the meadow. Then they ran off for 6hrs. Buggers. Sage the ring-leader is now either on a leash or I make sure he is distracted by a ball! It works!
Loki loving the water.
Esther and PB run through it, this icy cold water feels good to a hotdog on a +20C day!
C-RAAAZY.
It's a bit wet out there. Nothing like wearing bunny boots in the HEAT. Holy sweaty feet. I really need to get normal rubber boots I think.
Even the larvae-infested scungy ponds are pretty!
Then Steph made an unexpected visit out here, with her new birthday jacket given to her by her crazy Ontario friends.

She may or may NOT be wearing clothes underneath that. What happens at Stacie's place stays at Stacie's place...
Mandarin vodka, 7-up and mandarin oranges... who knew it would make for a LOVELY refreshing beverage on a hot sunny day. I'm sure this beverage had nothing to do with the fact that I fell backwards off my chair and how later Steph fell in a rose bush, and now has over 20 teeny-tiny rose thorns embedded in her paw. Er, hand.
Sometimes I think we need chaperones!

Yay, I love maniacal Pooh Bear(!) photos. I think we need to borrow her for Streak. I thought Clara Bow loved to play, but she's nothing compared with Streak. Streak is 6 years old and has the play drive of a 9 month old, it's scary. Streak would love Pooh Bear(!).
Sounds like fun at your place. Our home entertainment is a little less dangerous. We're inclined to imbibe a little too much Rabbit Riesling and rile up the dogs. We egg them on until they end up in a massive, wild multi-dog race-and-chase play session in the living room while we laugh uproariously (and our loose belongings get knocked to the floor and trompled on). The most common human injury is a stomped on toe or a bruise to the shins from a fast moving pup, no falling into rosebushes, thankfully!
Surprisingly the dogs have NOT managed to knock either of our bikes over yet in their play frenzies (our commuter bikes live in the living room, only the bikjoring bike lives outside). I think I need to knock on wood or something when I say that...
We need to enjoy this weather while we can! I sure hope this summer is better than last.
Meg - I agree, they would love each other! PB doesn't get the love/play/craziness she wants from her kennel-mate, Esther. Esther gets pissy when PB gets too crazy. Can't say I blame her...
Your home entertainment actually does sound kind of dangerous! Just think of the things that could fall over (bookshelves, books, tv's!)!!!
Kara - NO KIDDING!!!! I am enjoying every freakin' second of this warmth. After this weekend I might be happy to be stuck inside in an air-conditioned office!
Please tell me you didn't spike your drinks with Hawaiian Tropics or Loreal...
I'll chaperone! Pick me! Pick me! {and pass the vodka} Jen
No, but great idea Michael!
Jen, you would be the worst chaperone! You'd totally egg us on to get crazier. While encouraging us to wear safety helmets of course.
Is spring flooding common there for this time of year? I'm just curious as there is a possibility I might be locating to Ross River in the fall. Not that a little water would stop me. I was just curious. I love all the pictures I've seen of the area!
Not around here, all of these "ponds" are just from the huge amount of snow we've had. South of Whitehorse, Marsh Lake area is prone to flooding.
Not sure about the Ross River area - will you be teaching there?? Ready to leave Nunavut?
