How could you disturb that? Look at the FOCUS!!!! Too bad he doesn't focus elswhere, like oh, um, on the trail!
Ripper, who doesn't care much for running where there are no trails, or crappy trails - he's a sprint boy at heart - isn't the least bit interested in the show.
He's even into the commercials on Tuesday nights.
Ooh, Stacie - we should get us one of those F-150's! Look how BIG it is!!! You could put loads of dog food in the back of that truck.
Cycling, I would do that. If my legs were longer. And I was bipedal. Ha! "Bipedal" - get it?? Anyhoo...
He's even trying to pass on his bad habits:
Ok Esther, this is "TV" and the Iditarod special - watch and learn!
Yo! Esther, pay attention. You aren't going to be a great lead dog with an attention span like that!
What the heck is she looking at?? Argh Esther, you're distracting me! Geez, who cares what Ripper is eating now, probably his own foot this time.
Ok, screw her, back to the race. What did I miss??
Wow, nice hawaiian shirt Martin! Hahahaha....
Ooh! That's what it's like, the view from the sled. Boooorrrring.
Nice map - I was wondering where the heck the Iditarod trail went. I was in Alaska once... before we got dragged across the border and were forced to be Canadians... (it's much better over here and the people are totally normal... hee hee)
Jeff King - my arch nemesis!! Er, not really.
Dogs in straw... Hm.
Why aren't they sleeping on the couch?? It looks kinda cold out.
Yes, yes, I understand what you're talking about - strategy is key...
Run, dogs run! I'm sure the cozy cabin/warm couch is just up ahead a bit! There's houses so you can't be far from the warmth of the fire. And the tv.
So then I try to join Sage watching the show from the floor, and I guess I was a bit of a distraction.
I think he was happy to have company that was as interested in his show as he was!
Um, thanks Sage. Can we watch the show and make out later please?
Thank goodness this show is almost over, we can then get back to our normal routine!

I love your dogs. I love your pictures of your dogs...
I ****LOVE**** the "Sage Watching TV" posts. I. cannot. stop. laughing. Neither of my dogs like watching TV, but they *do* like watching videos on the laptop (my Ridgeback mix is fond of the ballet and French documentaries....who knew?? The Husky mix just likes the sled dog videos...he always has to run upstairs and hang out with me everytime I watch Aliy Zirkle's videos lately).
Your videos are also popular with them, especially when you wipe out and say "Oh crap!" and such. MUCH head tipping an intense staring at the screen. Pooh Bear (!) is always popular with them, too, but that's totally natural. I think they're trying to interpret her screeches, but they can't make heads or tails of her noises...
It's a sign Stacie. He's trying to tell you he wants to run in the Iditarod or the Quest.
Clearly it's time to start training for next year.
(the word verification for this comment is "sphili" which is what happens you you whip out and say "oh crap")
I'm with Meg - the "Sage Watching TV" posts are HILARIOUS.
"In fact, the other night I had to hold off feeding them till 11:00. I didn't want to disturb him in the middle of the show."
!!!!!!!
Tala (Rupert's younger twin) hasn't seen a sled dog movie yet. I think it's time!
I'm glad Sage is keeping everyone entertained, me included!!! He goes through total TV phases, now it's actually ANYTHING that is on tv. But it did all start with the Iditarod show the other night.
Oh god, I hope not Susan, 'cause I'm sure not interested in running dogs for 1000 miles!
"Why aren't they sleeping on the couch?? It looks kinda cold out."
OMG LMAO
Ahahahaha! You are hilarious!
Maybe Sage will pick up some pointers?
LMAO
This is totally hilarious!!
that is something. the focus and concentration. and it looks like he wants to watch the whole show. would'nt be surprised if he picks up some pointers and tries to tell the other guys.ken
okokok!! Sage IS rather entertaining BUT BP is my girl!! Your readership really needs to know the TRUTH about her!! Alas, time for me to start a PB post to inform the world of the virtues of this fine dog!!
That is too cute! I think Sage clearly wants to do the Quest next week.
